Delay the Disease: Exercise to Fight Parkinson’s Symptoms

Covenant Wellness Services is offering Delay the Disease: Exercise to Fight Parkinson’s Symptoms, a new fitness program that empowers people with Parkinson’s Disease by improving their physical function and helping delay the progression of symptoms. Delay the Disease includes eight, one-hour sessions of small group exercise led by two trained facilitators. The classes are held in Waterloo at the Covenant Wellness Center, located within Kimball Ridge Center, starting Wednesday, March 13 from 2 to 3 p.m. for a cost of just $20.

Attendees learn exercises that will help them perform practical, daily tasks more efficiently. The exercises also build strength and allow people to better maintain their independence. This class is open to persons with any level of Parkinson’s Disease.
