Otolaryngologist Joins Covenant Clinic
by Augusta Sires
Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare – Iowa (Wheaton Iowa) is pleased to welcome Mary Susan Pruzinsky, MD to their Covenant Clinic Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat) office.
Dr. Pruzinsky puts her patients’ comfort first, stating, “Many patients seek care from me to address problems that require a surgical intervention,” said Dr. Pruzinsky. “They are often understandably scared about the process of undergoing a surgery. Helping them through this with confidence and reassurance, and achieving a good outcome, is always very gratifying. Allaying the fears and concerns of patients who come to see me for problems that do not require a surgery is equally important to me.”
Dr. Pruzinsky received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC. She was a Resident in the Department of General Surgery at New York University Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital, in New York, and completed another Residency in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery, at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. Prior to joining Covenant Clinic, Dr. Pruzinsky was a practicing ENT physician in Cedar Rapids for over 21 years.
Dr. Pruzinsky is originally from northern New Jersey and currently lives in Cedar Rapids with her husband and three sons. She enjoys reading, cooking, playing the piano, and spending time with her family.
You will find Dr. Pruzinsky at the Covenant Clinic Otolaryngology office in the Covenant Professional Office Building, 2710 St. Francis Drive, Suite 411 in Waterloo.
