Welcoming New Pulmonologist to Covenant Clinic

Covenant Clinic is pleased to welcome Pankaj Mehta, MD. Dr. Mehta is a pulmonologist, intensivist and sleep medicine specialist who began with the clinic at the end of August 2014.
Dr. Mehta has always been fascinated by science, especially human biology. “My mother is a Professor of Nursing and my exposure to health care was from a very young age,” he said. “Medicine is a very gratifying career with the ability to utilize ones energy and knowledge to help our fellow human beings.”
Dr. Mehta received his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in Delhi, India, in 2001, and completed a Residency in Internal Medicine at Maulana Azad Medical College in 2004. He served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine at Maulana Azad Medical College from 2004 to 2007. Dr. Mehta completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York, in 2010, and a Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship in 2013 also at Upstate Medical University. He is expected to complete a Sleep Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, in 2014.

The ability to work in a progressive system like Wheaton will give me the opportunity for future professional growth.”
