Heart Friends Support Group meets to provide emotional and educational support to parents and families who have children with congenital heart defects. The group meets at 7:00 p.m. at Covenant Medical Center in the Outpatient & Women's Center in Classroom 10. Park in parking lot G and take the elevator to the 4th floor. On August 12 at 7:00 p.m., Dr. Nick Von Bergen, the newest pediatric cardiologist at the University of Iowa Children's Hospital, will speak to the group about heart rhythms and arrhythmias, and a question/answer session will follow.
