Contributions are utilized to enhance the quality of patient care, to implement educational health programs, and to acquire new medical equipment. The income will be used to benefit the Oelwein area and will operate exclusively for non-profit healthcare purposes.
At Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters our daily mission is life... advancing the excellence of our medical services for your life and those you love.
You can support this caring effort. Your charitable gifts are special ways to commemorate someone you love. By supporting life in the memory of those you love, you can advance the excellence of medical services available to others at Mercy Hospital.
Individual gifts may be donated to the Foundation. All gifts may be designated to specific health care programs, if desired, and are tax-deductible. Gift amounts are not made public.
Our Memorial Gift Program was created for those moments when a family or friend wished to express sympathy in terms of a "living gift". Establishing a memorial frequently fulfills this purpose. A memorial is automatically established in the name of an individual when a gift is received. All memorial gifts are used for endowments and special projects.
Your gift will help Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters continue to provide quality medical care. Your support is vital and deeply appreciated. Contributions mean a healthier tomorrow for those who need our help.

Guardian Angel Program
Have You Been Touched By an Angel? Has a doctor, nurse, staff member or volunteer made a difference in the care you or your loved one received at Mercy Hospital?
Our patients often express their gratitude for the excellent care they receive through a variety of ways – kind words, smiles, letters of thanks and financial contributions.
One of the most meaningful ways to express your appreciation is to make a gift to the Mercy Foundation’s Guardian Angel Program. This program enables patients and families to say ‘thank you’ and to honor the person who made their experience a positive one.
The process is very simple. All you need to do is click here to give now and fill out the Guardian Angel form to let us know the name of your Guardian Angel and how they impacted you. This individual will be notified you are honoring them as your Guardian Angel (unless you would like to remain anonymous). Your Guardian Angel will be publically recognized and receive a custom-crafted lapel pin to wear proudly throughout the medical center.
Acknowledging an individual for a job well-done is one of the most meaningful forms of support you can offer. Your participation in the Guardian Angel Program demonstrates your understanding of the important role our team-members play, while supporting Mercy Hospital in fulfilling its mission to provide superior patient care. To learn more about the Guardian Angel Program, please contact the Mercy Hospital Foundation office at (319) 283-6115.
