Covenant Clinic is pleased to welcome Tammy Crawford, Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), to the community of Evansdale. She is joining the Covenant Clinic Family Practice team. Crawford comes to Evansdale from the Allen College Family Nurse Practitioner Program in Waterloo, Iowa.
Crawford was born and raised in Independence, Iowa. She has 22 years of experience in the health care industry. She decided to focus on Family Practice because of her passion for her own family. “I try to provide the care that I would want my family members to receive,” she stated. “I enjoy caring for people of all ages and love the variety that comes with it. It is exciting to care for many members of the same family and really get to know those patients.”
Crawford received her BSN from Allen College in Waterloo in 2007. She then graduated with an MSN from the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Allen College in May, 2010. Crawford has been a Registered Nurse since 1988, working mostly in Eastern Iowa the last 22 years. Before joining Covenant Clinic, she was employed at the Regional Medical Center in Manchester as a Clinic Nurse.
Away from the office, Crawford enjoys running, hiking, biking, watching sports, and anything else she can do with her husband and children. She says her greatest accomplishment is completing her education while still being a mother to six kids. “My family and friends have all had a positive influence in my life. I have been lucky to have people that are close to me that have encouraged me to pursue my goals,” said Crawford.
