Breast cancer is serious, yet easier to detect if you are faithful to self-breast exams and yearly mammograms. Encourage the women in your life – mother, daughter, sister and friend – to commit to fighting breast cancer through early detection. Women with a family history of breast cancer or women 40+ are at risk, and should take the steps necessary to prevent this disease from claiming another life.
Wheaton Iowa is committed to finding breast cancer early, when treatment is known to be most successful. That’s why we have 3D mammography machines at Covenant Medical Center and Sartori Memorial Hospital. This type of mammogram shows us a three-dimensional view of breast tissue to help us identify different structures inside the breast without overlapping tissue causing confusion about what we are seeing. Even if your insurance doesn’t cover 3D mammography, we’ve made sure that what you pay out-of-pocket for a 3D mammogram is low.
