Welcome to Volunteer Services! We invite you to join more than 600 volunteers that make up our volunteer team. Your unique talents and personal experience coupled with more than 3,100 associates help Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare maintain quality services and help carry out our mission everyday in the communities we serve.

Becoming a Volunteer

To become a volunteer, please complete a teen or adult application, which is available in the upper left side of the screen. Upon receiving your application and verifying your references, you will be contacted for an interview. Your interests and skills will be matched with the needs of the organization.

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old. Volunteers are required to have a health assessment from their primary care physician. Two TB tests and a blood draw to prove immunities to communicable diseases are required. The TB tests and blood draw will be done at Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare at no charge to the volunteer.

Volunteer opportunities vary at each hospital. Opportunities include but are not limited to driving patients to and from their appointments, assisting with clerical duties, visiting and interacting with patients, and providing customer service.
