Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations

The Joint Commission is an independent, not-for-profit, national body that oversees the safety and quality of health care and other services provided in accredited organizations.

By demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission‘s national standards for health care quality and safety, Covenant Medical Center – Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare (including Cancer Treatment Center, Covenant Clinic locations, Covenant Home Medical, Kimball Ridge Center, Occupational Health Partners and Laboratory) and Sartori Memorial Hospital - Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare and Mercy Hospital of Franciscan Sisters Laboratory have earned the Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™.

Covenant Medial Center - Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-Iowa is recognized as a 2014 Top Performer in The Joint Commission’s Top Performers on Key Quality Measures® program. The hospital is one of only 1,043 hospitals in the United States to achieve this distinction based on excellence in accountability measure performance.
Covenant Medical Center has been recognized for its achievement on the following 2014 accountability measure sets: heart attack, pneumonia, surgical care, and perinatal care.
