Catholic Health Initiatives Institutional Review Board
The mission of the Catholic Health Initiatives Institutional Review Board (CHIRB) is to protect the rights and welfare of human research participants recruited to participate in research activities.
The CHIRB has the authority to approve, require modifications in, or disapprove all research activities that fall within its jurisdiction as specified by both the federal regulations and local institutional policy. The CHI core values of reverence, integrity, compassion, and excellence guide their thinking and processes—both in terms of their commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards in the research they oversee, and in maintaining strong relationships with their researchers and research communities.
For more information about this process, please review the CHIRB Submission Guide.
CHIRB associates are available to provide regulatory guidance and support throughout the entire research process. We encourage you to contact them at any step in the process.
