"Alive and Running Iowa" Donates to Covenant Mental Health Services

There is new seating in the group therapy room at Covenant Medical Center's Mental Health Unit, thanks to Alive and Running Iowa, a group formed in 2010 to help raise awareness about suicide and suicide prevention.

The new seating was made possible by a donation of $3,061.80 from the organization.  Alive and Running Iowa also donated materials from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention for patients and their families, which are found in the lobby of Covenant Medical Center's 5th floor.

"Our donation to Covenant Medical Center wouldn't be possible without some help from the 100+ Men Who Care group, who gather donations to make an impact on our local community," said Troy Belmer, Co-Director of Alive and Running Iowa. "We're very happy to be able to provide resources that are needed right here in the Cedar Valley."

Alive & Running Iowa holds a fundraising 5K every June in Dunkerton. The next event is June 16, 2018. You can find more information at AliveandRunningIowa.com
