Midwife Deborah Gilburn Joins Covenant Midwives & Women's Health Center

Wheaton Iowa is pleased to welcome Deborah Gilburn, CNM to Covenant Midwives & Women’s Health Center.
Providing holistic health care to patients is very important to Deborah. “I chose nursing because I believe in holistic health care, integrating wellness physically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually. I chose midwifery as a specialty because I am committed to women’s health, and midwifery stresses the normalcy of pregnancy and birth.” She added, “I was attracted to Wheaton Iowa primarily because if its commitment to compassionate care for everyone, regardless of income or social status, and I love the diversity of Waterloo and the surrounding areas.”
Deborah received her midwifery education from Philadelphia University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
She lives outside of Oskaloosa with her family, including five children and a husky. Deborah enjoys trying new ethnic foods and learning how to prepare the dishes herself. She is also an avid gardener and knitter.
