Nurse Practitioner Carolyn Johnson Joins Covenant Clinic

Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-Iowa is pleased to welcome Carolyn Johnson, ARNP to Covenant Clinic in Cedar Falls. Johnson is a nurse practitioner who is joining Internal Medicine in the Sartori Professional Office Building, located on Division Street.

Mrs. Johnson is excited to be joining the organization and stated, “Since I was 5 years old, I knew I wanted to be a nurse. I grew up in the Waterloo area and chose Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare because of the Christian-valued focus which aligns with my belief system and my standard of practice.”

Mrs. Johnson already had eleven years of nursing experience when she decided to pursue her master’s degree. She earned her Master of Science: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from Allen College in Waterloo in 2011. She has provided post-acute rehabilitation at ManorCare Health Services in Waterloo for the past five years prior to joining Covenant Clinic. She is also an interpreter of American Sign Language.

Carolyn lives in La Porte City with her husband of 32 years. The couple has five grown sons, three daughters-in-law, and five grandchildren. She enjoys gardening, singing, playing the piano, and cooking. “I love to laugh and be an encouragement to others. My medical knowledge is intertwined within my personality. I listen very well and will do my very best to meet their needs,” she said.
