Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare-Iowa is pleased to welcome Christina Hussey, LISW to Covenant Clinic. Hussey is a therapist who will be located in Suite 210 of the Covenant Professional Office Building.

Ms. Hussey is excited to be joining the organization and stated, “I was attracted to Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare for its reputation of treating both its patients and associates with dignity and respect.”

Hussey received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Northern Iowa and has been working as a therapist since 2010. She obtained her Independent License in 2013. Her special interests include working with adolescents and people who have experienced trauma. “I decided to pursue a career as a therapist after working with children and families and seeing how trauma and abuse can influence people’s overall functioning of not only themselves, but their family systems as well. I knew I wanted to do more to try and help people to change the way they felt about themselves and to be happier and healthier overall.”

Christina received the Governor’s Award of Exemplary Service for her volunteer work with Project Recovery Iowa in 2008, in which she provided relief and supportive services to flood and tornado victims in Bremer, Butler and Black Hawk counties.

Ms. Hussey lives in the Cedar Valley and enjoys gardening, hiking, traveling and spending time with her family.
