Covenant Clinic is pleased to welcome Jennifer Torgerson, DNP, ARNP, to the cardiology department.

Jennifer finds her role as a nurse practitioner to be very worthwhile. “One rewarding aspect as a nurse practitioner is building a relationship with the patient and truly getting to know them. Helping a patient achieve their health care goals is a truly rewarding, and gratifying experience. I hope to be a partner in my patients' health care goals and help them become an advocate for their own health."

Ms. Torgerson received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa. She recently completed her Doctorate of Nursing Practice at the University of Iowa. Ms. Torgerson worked in the Emergency Department, Cardiac Stroke Center and Intensive Care Center at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids from 2006 to 2010. She also worked at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City in the Operating Room from 2010 to 2015, and has worked in the Emergency Department at Regional Medical Center in Manchester since 2015.

Jennifer is married and has one daughter, with one on the way! In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, running, cheering on the Hawkeyes, and spending time with friends and family.

You will find Ms. Torgerson practicing at the Covenant Clinic Cardiology office, 2710 St. Francis Drive, Suite 320, Waterloo.
