Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare - Iowa (Wheaton Iowa) is pleased to welcome Jamie Soper, Au.D., to Covenant Clinic Ear, Nose and Throat. Dr. Soper is an audiologist who began with the clinic this month.

"I have always known I wanted to work in the medical field. I have a passion for working with people and being a positive influence in their lives," she said. "I specifically chose audiology because communication is an integral part of our lives. Many people don’t realize how much they rely on their hearing until it begins to decline. My goal is to educate people about hearing loss and offer possible strategies to improve their communication ability and quality of life."

Dr. Soper received her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis in May 2018, and a Master of Arts in Speech, Hearing and Language Sciences in May 2017.  She earned a Bachelor of Science in Communicative Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin in Madison in May 2014. She most recently was an audiology extern at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota before coming to Waterloo.

"I am excited to bring audiology to Covenant Clinic and the Waterloo/Cedar Falls community," she said. "I want to be an advocate and a resource for people with hearing loss in this community. When patients report they are enjoying their friends and family more because they can communicate with less difficulty, it reminds me why I chose this profession."

Dr. Soper lives in the Cedar Valley with her husband. When she's not helping patients, she likes spending time with friends and family, and enjoys recreation on the water.

You will find Jamie Soper, Au.D. at the Covenant Clinic Ear, Nose and Throat office in the Covenant Professional Office Building, 2710 St. Francis Drive, Suite 411 in Waterloo, and in the Sartori Professional Office Building, 516 South Division Street, Suite 105 in Cedar Falls.
