Festival At Night
Tuesday, November 13 - GBPAC - 5:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Kick off your holiday season and enjoy the Festival of Trees in a magical way! Festival at Night is a special after-hours event just for individuals age 21 and older, that features live music, drinks and appetizers. Reservations available for $20.00 per person.
Festival Christmas Brunch & Program
Wednesday, November 14 - GBPAC - 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
This extraordinary event placed within the Gallery of Trees allows guests time to socialize and enjoy the exhibits with special friends and family. Join us to enjoy a morning of music, entertainment, delicious breakfast, raffle prizes & the Christmas spirit. Reservations available for $20.00 per person.
Advanced reservations are required and limited to the first 150 respondents.
Celebrating Service : Veteran’s Holiday Breakfast & Program
Thursday, November 15 - GBPAC - 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
In its fourth year at Festival of Trees, a delicious breakfast will be held to honor and thank our Cedar Valley Veteran’s and their families. Please join us as we listen to empowering stories from local Vet’s & witness a swearing in of new cadets with the UNI ROTC program. Reservations available for $5.00 per person.
Games in the Trees
Thursday, November 15 - GBPAC - 12:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Like to play cards or games? This event will bring out card tables to the GBPAC lobby space in and around the trees. What a wonderful environment for playing a game of cribbage with your friends, bridge, pinochle, or even Monopoly or Yahtzee. The Games event is open to any organized table of four to enjoy fellowship, endless desserts, coffee and fun. Participants are asked to bring their favorite game & necessary materials, cards, scoring pads, dice or other items. Reservations available for $50.00 per table.
Thursday, November 15 - GBPAC Jebe Hall - 3:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
New in 2015, the Red Sleigh was created for children with autism or developmental disabilities, to enjoy a fun holiday event crafted to their needs. Event includes handmade crafts, story time and an up close visit with Santa. Each child will leave with their own holiday treat bag. "Get Your Sparkle On" Fashion Show & Luncheon
Friday, November 16 - GBPAC - 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
Get enchanted by the latest holiday fashions from local Cedar Valley clothiers. The models will work their magic, as guests enjoy a gourmet three course luncheon prepared in style by the UNI chefs. Reservations available for $40.00 per person.
Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen Bake Sale
Saturday, November 17 - GBPAC - 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
An annual event that some have called “the best bake sale this side of the North pole”. A great variety of tasty baked goods will be available for purchase as guests peruse the Festival Gallery of Trees. This event has been very successful through the history of Festival of Trees and its success is attributed to the quality baked goods that are delivered from the many great Sartori volunteers. Grab a quick snack as you shop or take home enough to feed the family. Come early for the best selection.
Saturday, November 17 - GBPAC - 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Santa’s Workshop is a free event for children ages 3-10 accompanied by an adult. Children will have the opportunity to create Christmas crafts and various other holiday items which may be given as gifts or used to decorate their own family Christmas tree.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to read from holiday books and share stories of life at the North Pole. Be sure to bring your cameras so you can take photos of your child as they make their way through this fun event. Hope to see you there!
Teddy Bear Tea
Sunday, November 18 - Commons - 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Join us for an afternoon out to celebrate this year's Teddy Bear Tea! Your little ones will delight in all of the Christmas wonder and enjoy an entertainment packed afternoon! The Festival event will feature a performance by the Dean of Juggling, a fun holiday photo scene to take special family photos, plus a very special visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Snacks will be served, and each child takes home their own special bear to keep. Reservations available for $10.00 per child and $15.00 per adult.
Other happenings during the Festival of Trees:
Students and members of the Northeast Area Music Teachers Association (NAMTA) are scheduled to perform at various times throughout the Festival of Trees. NAMTA has been helping bring high musical standards to the Cedar Valley since 1976 when co-founded by Solveig Gregory and Ann Barry.
For just $1.00, you have a chance at winning several amazing prizes: Handmade quilt, $500 cash, beautiful jewelry or other unique items, donated by generous local businesses.
Wine Tree Raffle
Sure to please any wine lover’s palate! Purchase a raffle ticket for your opportunity to win a selection of 100 bottles of wine from this unique Wine Tree Display.
Wine Tree tickets are $10.00 each and can be purchased at the Wine Tree Display.
Many citizens and merchants have donated a wondrous and amazing array of items for your bidding pleasure! Find items here to spoil yourself and loved ones during the holiday season. Performance tickets, baskets of local goods, handmade items, dining certificates and much more! Keep your eyes open as several of the wonderfully decorated trees and wreaths are available for silent auction bidding as well.
Items can be bid on during Gallery hours between Tuesday, November 13 and Sunday, November 18. Winning bids will be announced at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 18. Need not be present to win.
