Amputee Support Group
Join the monthly amputee awareness support group. The group meets the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at Clark & Associates Community Room, 527 Park Lane, Waterloo.

Brain Injury Support
The Brain Injury Association of Iowa offers a monthly support group for family members of individuals who have sustained a brain injury. This group meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in Room 1 at the Kimball Ridge Center, 2101 Kimball Avenue in Waterloo, Iowa. Breastfeeding Support Group
This weekly support group assists new moms and babies with breastfeeding questions and concerns. There is no cost to attend. Meetings are held on Wednesdays at 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on the fourth floor of Covenant Medical Center in the Outpatient & Women's Center at 3421 West Ninth Street, Waterloo. Cancer Support Group - Care and Share
The Covenant Cancer Treatment Center offers Care and Share, a support group for individuals, families and friends who are coping with a cancer diagnosis. Care and Share is offered the first Tuesday of each month at 1:30 p.m. at Covenant Cancer Treatment Center, 200 East Ridgeway, Waterloo. Group discussions are facilitated by a licensed social worker. Breast Cancer Support Group - Touch of Courage
The Covenant Cancer Treatment Center offers Touch of Courage, a support group designed for breast cancer patients. Touch of Courage is designed to assist women dealing with breast cancer through emotional support and education. The group meets the first Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in Room 1 of the Kimball Ridge Center, 2101 Kimball Avenue, Waterloo. Sessions are free of charge to all participants. Diabetes Support Group
Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare offers a free support group for all persons with diabetes and their family members. Staff from the Nutrition and Diabetes Education Center lead the group. Various health care professionals from the area are invited as guest speakers. Call 319.272.5856 for more information.

Heart Friends Support Group (Waterloo Chapter)
The mission of the group is to provide emotional and educational support to parents and families who have children with congenital heart defects. The group also promotes understanding and knowledge of these defects to the general public. The Waterloo Chapter meets at Covenant Medical Center, 3421 West Ninth Street, Waterloo in the Outpatient/Women's Center at the G Entrance, 4th Floor, Classroom 10 as follows:

Multiple Sclerosis Support Group
The Multiple Sclerosis Service League offers monthly support groups for people affected by multiple sclerosis and their families. The Buchanan MS Support Group meets in Independence, the Bremer/Butler MS Support Group meets in Waverly, the Waterloo/Cedar Falls MS Support Group meets in Waterloo, and the Tama MS Support Group meets in Toledo. Multiple Sclerosis Support Group Meeting
The purpose of MS Self Help group with approval of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society North Central States Chapter is to help individuals, their caregivers, and families with support and to provide information about living with the effects of MS. Meetings are from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of month at Covenant Medical Center, fourth floor of the Women & Outpatient Center (Entrance G). We encourage especially the newly diagnosed and their caregivers and families to attend. New Hope 
This support group is designed to provide emotional support and create an environment for learning for parents who have experienced an ectopic pregnancy, miscarriage, stillbirth, or death of an infant and/or young child. For more information call 319-272-7370.

Parkinson's Support Group
People with Parkinson's disease and their families are welcome to attend the Parkinson’s Support Group Meeting. The Parkinson's Support Group meets on the second Thursday of the month from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. The meeting is held in Classroom 10 at Covenant Medical Center, 3421 West 9th Street, Waterloo, IA. Stroke Information Network
Covenant Medical Center’s Rehabilitation program offers a monthly Stroke Information Network for stroke survivors and family members. This group meets the third Thursday of every month at 3:00 p.m. in the Rehabilitation Dining Room at Covenant Medical Center, 3421 West Ninth Street, Waterloo, Iowa. Each meeting features a different speaker or topic related to stroke, along with informational sharing time. For more information, call (319) 272-7921.

Surgical Weight Loss Support Group
The Midwest Institute of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery understands the life changing effects of undergoing weight loss surgery and the concerns of those contemplating having surgery. Our staff offers a support group for patients who have had weight loss surgery, individuals contemplating surgery and immediate family members.

Meetings are held at Sartori Memorial Hospital from 6 to 7:30 p.m. the first Monday of every month. Meetings are an open forum for discussions with the staff of the Midwest Institute of Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery. Special guest speakers are featured to discuss topics pertaining to weight loss surgery.
