Interventional radiology (IR) is a minimally invasive way for us to help better diagnose, and even treat, diseases and injuries.
Interventional radiology treatment can be life-saving. Most IR procedures require just a few tiny incisions in place of major surgery. This allows you to get better faster, with less pain, scarring, and risk for infection.

Who’s reading your tests? At Wheaton Iowa, we are proud partners with Milwaukee Radiology Limited (MRL). The radiology doctors (radiologists) from MRL are primarily on-site at Covenant Medical Center due to the location of the equipment they need, but are available at all Wheaton Iowa sites for certain tests, consultations, and test interpretations. They work hand-in-hand with your doctor to provide best treatment options for you!
All of the MRL radiologists that practice at Wheaton Iowa are board certified and fellowship trained in different IR specialty areas.
Meet our MRL Radiology Team:
The MRL radiology practice is committed to ensuring you have the best specialist interpreting your imaging test. MRL radiologists with particular sub-specialty knowledge are often consulted to interpret your specialty tests.
These radiologists live and engage in our community. They are invested in improving the health and well-being of all Wheaton Iowa patients.
Once your interventional radiology test is complete, your results will be shared with your family doctor and they will let you know what you need to do next if something is found.
How to Schedule an Appointment
An order from your doctor for the test you need must be sent to us before your scheduled appointment. Please talk to your doctor and tell them that you’d like to be seen at Wheaton Iowa!
